Stone Mountain - Day 2

Rainy day!  First, and most important, we slept it.  You can do that when you are retired.  The day looked questionable so we decided to wait and see how it went before getting rained out.  So, basically all we did was take a drive around the park and go out to eat.  Well, I cut Gina's hair, but don't tell anyone that I do that.  I don't want it getting out.  She likes it when I'm naked and cutting her hair.  I dunno.  I just do what she wants.

The drive around the park was tree-filled.  But, we got in to get a preview of Stone Mountain.

Used Garmin to find an Italian joint.  Ended up going to Aldo's Cafe.  We were a little under-dressed, but ah well.  The atmosphere was nicer than anticipated, but the food was priced better than expected after seeing the joint.  I had Grouper in a basil, garlic cream sauce and Gina had a Persian Kabob dish.  Yes, this joint was actually "Mediterranean" as they called it serving Greek and Persian dishes as well.  We love trying new stuff so we ordered a combo appetizer dish consisting of three different odd-named stuff--grape leaved rice dish, eggplant-tomato dish, and a creamy spinach-something dish.  Exotic and different.  Gina even had a Cucumber  cocktail that was oddly good.  Great stuff.

Adding to the fun of it all was a nice (ok, not really) old lady (below) who talked loudly to this couple for literally 30 minutes.  Part of the convo included an ointment used to handle a rash.  Wow, really?  Folks were looking over at that table after that one.  I was making interjecting comments loud enough for most to catch the hint and Gina was telling me to "hush" way too often.  But, life would be boring without neat experiences such as this, right?
