Stone Mountain - Day 1

Arrived at Stone Mountain around 6pm.  If you didn't know, Stone Mountain is RIGHT next to Atlanta on the east side.  Yuk as far as traffic goes and yuk as far as my damn GPS (it's usually awesome, my Garmin).  It routed me down Memorial Hwy which is THROUGH the city.  Did I mention how much I love driving this big beast rig in tight traffic?  Do I need to?

So, we checked in and was given the "how to" for the park.  The campground is called Stone Mountain Park Campground and we are at site 324.  Did you know Stone Mountain has a lake too.  Guess what it's called?  Anyway, our site is right across from the lake in thick Georgia trees.

Last time I was at Stone Mountain, I was a teenager.  I don't remember much except the rock itself.  Maybe more will come to me as we explore the park.  Gina has never been.  It should be a good time.  Dinner was at Joe's Crab Shack in town.  Gina had the Joe's Classic Steampot and I got the Arctic Bay Steampot.  Both had crab, shrimp, potatoes, corn, and sausage.  Mine had mussels and clams and Ginas had two types of crab vs my one type.  Good eating.  We were incredibly full.  Too full for desert.
